'People are fearful' - why 'unstoppable force' Arsenal are the side to defeat.

There's no doubt why Arsenal stand as many people's favorites to secure the Premier League in the current campaign.

Look at their results against Newcastle and Crystal Palace versus those same matches during the prior term.

The Gunners have defeated all of them in the current season, but surrendered 10 points across those games as they fell away in the title race last season.

Defensive Strength

Arsenal's defensive strength is a primary factor why they are appearing strong to at last realize their title goal.

They rank top for shutouts (6), goals conceded (3), attempts against (72), dangerous chances allowed (19) and expected goals against (5.3).

The center-back duo of Gabriel and William Saliba is arguably the best in the league, with Arsenal maintaining a clean sheet in six of their first nine games.

Dead-Ball Superiority

Their danger from dead balls is widely recognized, but rival sides still find it difficult to neutralize the Gunners from these situations.

They have scored 11 times from set-pieces in the league, several additional than any other side, with 69% of their goals originating from these situations.

"Arsenal can perform multiple roles now. The whole team has a daunting aura. People are just wary of them and it is excellent to see."

Title Claims

What is particularly impressive about Arsenal's start to the campaign is they have also faced Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United at opposition grounds and Manchester City on home turf - and are still leading by four at the top.

While they continue triumphing, their long-standing opponents aren't faring so well. This marks the premier instance at this stage of the season since 1992 that none of Manchester City and United, Liverpool or Chelsea are in the Premier League top four.

The scrutiny was on head coach Mikel Arteta at the outset, having allocated around £250m on eight summer additions in search of that elusive first title since 2004.

But the business has so far yielded results in impressive fashion, with his side among the highest scorers in the league and boasting the tightest defense, despite multiple injuries.

  • Clean sheets in three consecutive Premier League games
  • Nearly 6.5 hours without conceding a goal
  • Only a handful of concessions in 12 games across every tournament

Former players and analysts have characterized Arteta's men as a "powerhouse, looking hard to stop" with the whole club now performing with confidence and purpose.
